Jakarta, May 15, 2024 - PT Bank JTrust Indonesia Tbk (J Trust Bank) launched a savings program entitled “TORA Green Savings” in order to commemorate International Earth Day which falls on April 22. This program was initiated as a collaborative effort to respond to the issue of climate change and environmental preservation.
TORA Green Savings is the first J Trust Bank savings program created as part of the implementation of the company's sustainability aspects. Through TORA Green Savings, J Trust Bank facilitates customers who have concerns and want to contribute to environmental preservation by setting aside 0.5% p.a from savings interest for planting mangroves. Every Rp25,000,- of funds collected collectively, 1 (one) Mangrove tree will be planted in the CarbonEthics planting area in Kepulauan Seribu, DKI Jakarta.
Not only does it have an impact on the environment, the TORA Green Savings program also provides an attractive savings interest of 3.5% p.a (0.5% p.a is allocated for Mangrove planting) and free monthly administration fees. TORA Green Savings customers can also easily and safely access account information and make transactions anytime - anywhere through technology-based banking services, namely JTrust Net, JTrust Mobile, and J Trust Bank ATMs.
President Director of J Trust Bank, Ritsuo Fukadai said “TORA Green Savings provides convenience for customers who want to save while doing good for the environment. We will distribute the funds collected from interest on customer savings during the program period to CarbonEthics as a donation for the Mangrove program."
