Building a Smart Financial Generation: J Trust Bank Organizes Financial Literacy for Vocational High School Students

26 Feb 2025

Cikarang, February 25, 2025 – As part of its commitment to improve financial literacy among students, J Trust Bank held an educational session entitled “Getting to Know Bank Activities and Products” for students of SMK Mitra Industri MM2100. This activity aims to provide students with a basic understanding of the main banking products. On this occasion, students were also taught about investment and how to read and analyze financial statements.

This activity was attended by class X students of the Accounting Department and aimed to provide an understanding of how funds circulate in the banking system and how financial statements reflect the health of a bank.

After introducing the Bank’s products, the participants were introduced to the concept of savings and loans, where banks collect funds from the public through savings, current accounts, and deposits, then channel them back in the form of credit. In addition, participants also gained insight into techniques for reading bank financial statements, including how balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements are used to assess the financial condition of a bank.

This activity is a form of J Trust Bank’s commitment to encourage the improvement of financial literacy in Indonesia, especially among students. Through this education, J Trust Bank hopes that students can understand the role of banking and can utilize Bank service products that are tailored to their needs.
