Karawang, May 17, 2025 – PT Bank JTrust Indonesia Tbk (J Trust Bank) took part in an environmental conservation action entitled "Mangroves for the Country" which was held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Sedari Village, Cibuaya, Karawang. This activity is part of a collaborative movement to rehabilitate coastal ecosystems that are vulnerable to damage due to abrasion and climate change.
A total of 4,500 mangrove stems were planted, involving 20 collaborators from various backgrounds, including communities, educational institutions, environmental communities, and the private sector. This event was also attended by the ITB Alumni Association Class of 1980 as the initiator of the activity, in collaboration with Perum Perhutani KPH Purwakarta and supported by the Springhill Group.
Mangroves have a strategic role as coastal natural fortresses, carbon sinks, and important habitats for biodiversity. Through this activity, J Trust Bank shows its commitment to supporting the environmental agenda that has a direct impact on the quality of life of the community.
The local community is also involved in the procurement of seeds, the planting process, and further maintenance, so as to provide economic benefits.
J Trust Bank's support in the "Mangroves for the Country" action is a tangible manifestation of collaborative efforts in overcoming the environmental crisis. Through this activity, it is hoped that more and more parties will be moved to be actively involved in nature conservation for the sustainability of the earth and future generations.
