J Trust Bank Strengthens Commitment to Children’s Health through Education and Ear and Hearing Checkups

27 Feb 2026

Jakarta, February 27, 2026 – As part of its commitment to sustainability in the Social Pillar, PT Bank JTrust Indonesia Tbk (J Trust Bank) is once again presenting its Ramadhan Initiative for Children’s Ear and Hearing Health. This CSR activity focuses on improving ear and hearing health literacy among school-aged children, while also providing direct medical examinations by ENT specialists.

This activity involved 40 students aged 10-12 years old from Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah in West Jakarta. This CSR activity takes a comprehensive approach that is in line with the School Health Program Guidelines from the Indonesian Ministry of Health and UNESCO, and supports the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) indicators.

This series of CSR activities began with a health literacy session on raising awareness of ear and hearing health in the classroom. In this session, male and female students from Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah received interactive health education on early detection of hearing disorders, types of ear disorders, and healthy behaviors to maintain ear hygiene and health. The material was delivered in a communicative and participatory manner by two ENT doctors, Dr. Inez and Dr. Khoirul from the Faculty of Medicine at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN Syarif Hidayatullah), so that it was easy to understand and encouraged healthy living habits from an early age.

In the second session of this CSR activity, a post-test and Q&A session were held to directly assess and measure participants’ understanding through questions asked. As a form of concrete action, the ear examination and cleaning workshops were conducted directly by the medical team from the Faculty of Medicine at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah. Through this session, male and female students from Pesantren Asshiddiqiya received direct ear health checks as well as education on proper and safe ear hygiene practices.

In addition, J Trust Bank also provides support in the form of basic necessities such as rice, canned food, instant noodles, cooking oil, school bags, and biscuits given to students.

Through collaboration between the private sector and medical education institutions, J Trust Bank strengthens synergies in creating a real and sustainable social impact. In the spirit of Ramadan, J Trust Bank hopes that this initiative can become a foundation for better health for the future of Indonesian children while strengthening the company's reputation in the field of preventive child healthcare as part of the company's sustainability social pillar.
