J Trust Bank Promotes Health Awareness and Financial Resilience in Coastal Communities through the “Blue Community Wellness Project”

24 Jun 2026

As part of its commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), J Trust Bank launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative titled “Blue Community Wellness Project 2026” in the Muara Angke Fishing Village, North Jakarta. The program aims to improve the quality of life in coastal communities by providing health education for fishermen's children and empowering local fishermen's wives through financial literacy programs.

The CSR initiative featured interactive health education sessions covering the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles from an early age, maintaining personal hygiene, getting sufficient sleep, and raising awareness of the dangers of smoking. Through an engaging and participatory approach, fishermen’s children were encouraged to understand the importance of maintaining good health to support their growth and development.

At the same time, women from the fishing community participated in a financial literacy program aimed at strengthening their household financial management skills. The sessions covered basic financial planning, the importance of saving, expense management, and strategies to build long-term family financial resilience in the face of economic challenges.

As part of the CSR project, J Trust Bank also organized a medical check-up service in collaboration with Dr. Julianty Arisandi and Dr. Riski Imanuel from Keramat Jati Clinic. The event was attended by the Head of RW 011, Bapak Bani Sadar, and a representative of the Muara Angke Village Office, Bapak Handoko Dwi Susantyo.

The CSR activities engaged approximately 100 participants from the Muara Angke coastal community and received support from various stakeholders, including fishermen’s children, women from fishing households, community leaders (RT/RW), representatives of the Muara Angke Village Office, healthcare professionals, and financial literacy trainers from J Trust Bank. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to fostering healthier, more resilient, and prosperous coastal communities.

Through this CSR implementation, J Trust Bank seeks to make a meaningful contribution to the well-being of coastal communities through a holistic approach that addresses both health and family economic resilience. This CSR initiative also forms part of the Bank’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment in supporting the achievement of the SDGs.

J Trust Bank hopes to foster a culture of health-conscious behavior among fishermen's children, such as avoiding smoking and prioritizing quality sleep, while simultaneously strengthening the capacity of coastal women in managing family finances. Consequently, this integrative initiative is expected to contribute to creating a healthier, more resilient, productive, and competitive coastal community, as well as supporting the development of a more inclusive and sustainable Indonesian society.
