J Trust Bank Participates in Collaborative Action of Planting 8,000 Mangroves in Karawang

Karawang, August 17, 2024 – Commemorating the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Bank JTrust Indonesia Tbk (J Trust Bank) once again showed its commitment in supporting environmental sustainability by participating in a collaborative mangrove planting action in Sedari Village, Karawang, West Java.

 

The planting event titled “Mangroves Protect Us” was attended by representatives from 25 collaborators. This activity was initiated by Springhills Group and implemented by Yayasan Swara Indonesia Cemerlang which aims to work together and play an active role in protecting coastal ecosystems through mangrove planting and maintenance.


As an opening, a flag raising ceremony was held in the mangrove planting area as a symbol of the spirit of togetherness to fill the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. The event continued with mangrove planting with a total of 8,000 mangroves to be planted. This mangrove planting and maintenance is expected to provide long-term benefits in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.

 

Through this participation, J Trust Bank affirms its commitment in supporting emission decarbonization efforts through maintaining the balance of ecosystems and biodiversity of coastal areas. Participation in this activity also reflects the spirit of "gotong royong" and strong collaboration between various parties in preserving Indonesia's nature.
