J Trust Bank Visit and Handed Over Logistics for Cianjur Earthquake Survivors

22 Dec 2022

Cianjur, 22 December 2022. One month after the earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 in the Cianjur area on Monday 21 November 2022, J Trust Bank through Cugeunang District handed over assistance intended for survivors of the Cianjur Earthquake.

Taking place at the Cugenang District Command Post Corporate Division Head J Trust Bank, Ridyawan Amnar representing the company's management handed over a variety of assistance such as rice, ready-to-eat food, emergency tarp, cutlery, children's and adult diapers and medicines to the Head of the Cugenang District Planning Subdivision, Syamsudin.

The Cianjur earthquake caused hundreds of fatalities, damaged houses, schools and other public facilities so that the roads cracked because they were unable to withstand the shaking. The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) revealed that the earthquake originated from the movement of the Cugenang fault.

Even though we have passed the disaster emergency response stage, the condition of the houses that were badly damaged and needed time to rebuild has forced many people to live in evacuation tents. Therefore the survivors of the Cianjur earthquake still need basic needs assistance because they are not yet fully independent and far from normal conditions.

On this occasion, J Trust Bank also visited the evacuation sites directly to share joy by distributing gift especially for groups of child survivors. Come back stronger Cianjur!
