Bekasi, March 24, 2025 – As a form of concern for the education and welfare of children, J Trust Bank together with Rumah Zakat provided 100 packages of school supplies to flood survivors in Bekasi. This assistance was handed over directly at SDN 01 Sriamur, Tambun Utara Bekasi, on Monday, March 24, 2025.
On this occasion, Novy Angela Andow, EVP Treasury J Trust Bank symbolically handed over the donation to Abdul Mukmin, S.Pd SD, M. Pd, as the Principal of SDN 01 Sriamur, and Mr. Arif Syarifudin, Corporate Partnership Division Head of Rumah Zakat.
The flood that hit Bekasi in early March 2025 was caused by high-intensity rain and overflowing rivers, resulting in thousands of houses and public facilities, such as schools, being submerged and tens of thousands of residents affected. The Sriamur region was one of the areas significantly affected by the disaster.
The school supplies packages provided consist of bags, books, writing utensils, and socks, which are expected to help children regain their enthusiasm for learning after being affected by the floods.
J Trust Bank believes that education is the key to a better future. Through this initiative, J Trust Bank hopes to provide real support for children in need throughout the company’s operational areas.
