Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS)

LPS or Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation is an independent institution that functions to guarantee deposits of banking customers in Indonesia. This agency was established based on Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 24 of 2004 concerning the Deposit Insurance Agency, which was stipulated on September 22, 2004.

This law came into effect 12 months after its enactment, so that the establishment and operation of LPS began on September 22, 2005. LPS has the status of a legal entity and is responsible to the President of the Republic of Indonesia. Every bank that carries out business activities in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia is required to become a participant in LPS guarantees, including PT Bank JTrust Indonesia Tbk.

Deposits guaranteed by LPS include demand deposits, time deposits, savings, and/or other forms that are equated with those.

Information on Fair Interest Rates and Maximum LPS Deposit Value

  • The maximum fair interest rate for LPS guarantees from June 1, 2025 to September 30, 2025 for General Bank Guarantees is 4.00% (Rupiah) and 2.25% (Foreign Currency).
  • The deposit value guaranteed by LPS is a maximum of IDR 2 billion for each Customer in one Bank.
