J Trust Bank Donated for Veneer House in Palu

PT Bank JTrust Indonesia Tbk. (J Trust Bank) donated $5.000 to Kobayashi Laboratory to build an earthquake and tsunami resistant Community Center in Palu, Central Sulawesi.

 

The opening ceremony of the Community Center held at Balaroa, Ulujadi, Palu, Central Sulawesi on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 and attended by President Director of J Trust Bank Ritsuo Fukadai, representative from Kobayashi Laboratory Japan Taichi Kubo, Head of the Indonesian Institute of Architects Central Sulawesi Province Taswin Bulu.

 

According to Fukadai-san, the donation was a commitment from J Trust Bank, a bank owned by J Trust Co., Ltd. renowned financial institutions from Japan, to support the Indonesian government in restoring and rebuilding the city of Palu, which was recently rocked by the earthquake and tsunami on late 2018.

 

"We hope that this assistance can support the Kobayashi Laboratory in building earthquake and tsunami-resistant buildings with Japanese technology. So that it can help citizens who are victims of the earthquake and tsunami," said Fukadai-san.

 

Kobayashi Laboratory built one unit of earthquake and tsunami resistant building (Veneer House) that functions as a Community Center at the former location of the disaster in Ulujadi sub-district, Palu. The triangle-shaped building was made of wood, and was built with a knock down system. The building has been built in Japan and in various countries, and proven to be able to withstand earthquake shocks and tsunami waves.
