Jakarta, 30 September 2021 - In celebration of the anniversary of the Indonesian Red Cross which every 17 September, J Trust Bank collaborates with PMI DKI Jakarta Province and supported by the Sahid Sudirman Center (SSC), held a blood donation which was attended by J Trust Bank employees and SSC tenants. Implementing strict health protocols, attending as donors for the Camat of Tanah Abang, Dicky Suherlan and the Lurah of Karet Tengsin Village, Hari Ananda.
Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Province, Ahmad Riza Patria Riza admitted that since the pandemic, PMI DKI has only received 100 bags of blood and now it has reached 400-500 bags per day. The hope is that the blood stock will increase again so that it returns to normal as before the pandemic, which can reach 1,000 offices per day.
He emphasized that the DKI Provincial Government is committed to paying attention to voluntary blood donors, by giving appreciation to the heroes of humanity, among others, for donors who have donated blood 75 times and 100 times in a row on a regular basis. In essence, blood donation is urgently needed worldwide to ensure individuals and communities have access to safe and quality blood and blood products in both normal and emergency situations.
