J Trust Bank Promotes Awareness of Consumer Rights through Financial Literacy at SMK Mitra Industri MM2100

Cikarang, December 17, 2024 – In order to increase student awareness of consumer protection in the financial services sector, J Trust Bank held an education session entitled “Consumer and Community Protection in the Financial Services Sector” at SMK Mitra Industri MM2100, Cikarang, West Java.

 

This activity was attended by 22 students of class X Accounting Department and aimed to provide an in-depth understanding of consumer rights and obligations, as well as the importance of choosing financial products and services wisely. The material presented included identification of needs and wants, understanding consumer rights in financial transactions, and how to protect themselves from potential crimes in the financial services sector.

 

Through interactive discussions, students were also invited to recognize the design of banking products and services that suit their needs, understand the importance of product information transparency, as well as steps in handling complaints and dispute resolution. This education provides practical knowledge on how to be a smart and responsible consumer.

 

This activity is part of J Trust Bank's commitment to support financial literacy in Indonesia, especially among students. With a good understanding of consumer protection, it is hoped that students can become wiser users of financial services and be ready to face challenges in the future.
