Jakarta, April 15, 2025, PT Bank J Trust Indonesia Tbk (J Trust Bank) with President Director Ritsuo Fukadai, and The Ehime Bank, Ltd. (Bank Ehime) headquartered in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, with President Director Yoshinori Nishikawa, have signed a Business Cooperation Agreement.
This agreement aims to build a system that provides solutions in Indonesia, including supporting overseas expansion for Bank Ehime's business partners such as opening overseas branches and developing sales access, supporting fund procurement, supporting fund management, and creating business opportunities (business matching) with J Trust Bank partners. This collaboration also aims to support the business activities of business actors who are expanding overseas.
In Japan, various managerial challenges faced by small and medium-sized businesses in the regions are increasingly in the spotlight, such as labor shortages due to declining birth rates and population aging, as well as regional economic contraction due to declining population and productive age. Along with the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is estimated that the movement to seek new opportunities overseas will become more active in the future.
J Trust Bank Indonesia currently has 47 branches in 32 cities and 21 provinces in Indonesia, and actively supports business activities in Indonesia, including business matching between Japanese and local companies, by utilizing its network covering more than 90% of Indonesia and its strength as a Japanese bank. By utilizing each other's management resources effectively based on this Cooperation Agreement, it is expected to contribute to the economic development of Indonesia and Japan.
