January 23, 2024, J Trust Bank opened its Tarakan Mulawarman Branch Office in the city of Tarakan, North Kalimantan province.
The 46th branch office of J Trust Bank was inaugurated with the presence of several notable figures, including Zainal Arifin Paliwang, the Governor of North Kalimantan; Dr. H. Khairul, M.Kes., the Mayor of Tarakan; Ganang Suryo Anggoro, the Deputy for Payment Systems and Internal Management from the Head of Bank Indonesia for North Kalimantan Province; Agus Syabarrudin, the Executive Vice President Branch Management of J Trust Bank; and Benny Siswanto, the Independent Commissioner of J Trust Bank.
In his remarks at the branch office inauguration, J Trust Bank Executive Vice President Agus Syabarrudin said "J Trust Bank sees 2024 as a new opportunity and challenge. By expanding the network of branch offices and services as well as increasing expansion into a number of business sectors, we are optimistic that we will be able to achieve sustainable business growth while still adhering to the principle of prudence."

Welcoming the presence of J Trust Bank, Mayor of Tarakan Khairul said that this was a source of pride and was expected to contribute to economic growth indicators.
"We believe that the presence of banks in Tarakan will have a positive impact on the local economy. J Trust Bank's decision to establish a branch in Tarakan is a step in the right direction. The economic growth in Tarakan is higher than the national average and we estimate that it will continue to be in double digits," he said.
Apart from that, business actors in Tarakan, especially the plywood and fisheries sectors, also have partnered with entrepreneurs in Japan. So the presence of J Trust Bank becomes a new color of financial inclusion, which can be utilized by these entrepreneurs.
"Many corporate partners, cold storage, plywood companies, partner with entrepreneurs in Japan. I think this will make transactions easier. J Trust Bank could be a locomotive to attract greater investment," he concluded
