Jakarta, August 1st, 2024 – PT Bank JTrust Indonesia Tbk (J Trust Bank) won an award at the 9th Indonesia Best Bank 2024 event for the category of Implementing Sustainability in Banking Products, (KBMI 1, Private) organized by WartaEkonomi.co.id at The Sultan Hotel Jakarta on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. This award is a clear proof of J Trust Bank’s commitment in developing sustainable and environmentally friendly banking products. J Trust Bank achieved this award through its TORA Green Savings program, where customers can save while contributing to mangrove planting.
EVP Branch Management J Trust Bank, Agus Syabarrudin explained, “TORA Green Savings provides convenience for customers who want to save while doing good for the environment.”
TORA Green Savings is the first savings program created as an implementation of J Trust Bank’s sustainability aspects. Through TORA Green Savings, J Trust Bank facilitates customers who have concerns and want to contribute to environmental conservation by setting aside 0.5% p.a of savings interest for mangrove planting in collaboration with CarbonEthics.
“We are confident that customers will gain added value from this program, not only for now but for the future. Just like saving money, planting mangroves is our savings for the Earth and future generations,” Agus Syabarrudin concluded.
