Jakarta, September 12, 2024 - PT Bank JTrust Indonesia Tbk (J Trust Bank) won an award in the “Green Saving Program of the Year” category at the prestigious Marketeers Editor’s Choice Award 2024 event held at The Ballroom at Djakarta Theater on Thursday, July 12, 2024. Present to receive the award was EVP Branch Management J Trust Bank, Agus Syabarrudin.
The Marketeers Editor’s Choice Award is an award given to products in Indonesia that are able to implement creativity and innovation strategies in marketing campaigns, build innovation, engage customers, and release products and services that are not only impactful, but also provide a better experience for customers and support the company's progress.
J Trust Bank won this award through the TORA Green Savings savings program. This award is given as an appreciation for creativity and innovation in developing a savings program that is in line with the spirit of implementing ESG (environment, social, governance), namely having a positive impact on improving coastal ecosystems through mangrove planting. This program facilitates customers to save while also supporting mangrove planting.
EVP Branch Management J Trust Bank, Agus Syabarrudin explained, “TORA Green Savings makes it easy for Customers to save while doing good for the environment. Donations collected from part of the Customer's savings interest during the program period will be distributed to CarbonEthics for Mangrove planting.”
TORA Green Savings is J Trust Bank's first savings program created as part of the implementation of the company's sustainability aspects. Through TORA Green Savings, J Trust Bank facilitates Customers who want to contribute to environmental preservation by setting aside 0.5% p.a. from savings interest for Mangrove planting. For every Rp25,000 of funds collected collectively, 1 (one) Mangrove tree will be planted in the Seribu Islands, DKI Jakarta.
“In the future, J Trust Bank is optimistic that it can continue to develop products and services and run environmentally friendly operations. This is our contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Indonesia's Net Zero Emissions Target,” concluded Agus Syabarrudin.
