On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, J Trust Bank officially announced JKT48 as its newest Brand Ambassador. The Brand Ambassador announcement ceremony took place at the JKT48 Theater, fX Senayan, South Jakarta, and was attended by the President Director of J Trust Bank, Ritsuo Fukadai, the Director of Business at J Trust Bank, Widjaja Hendra, and two JKT48 members, Shani Indira Natio and Shania Gracia.
The selection of JKT48 as the Brand Ambassador for the bank went through several considerations, one of which was the shared background from Japan. As known, J Trust Bank is majority-owned by J Trust Group, a global holding company originating from Japan, while JKT48 is the first sister group outside Japan of the idol group AKB48, which is the largest idol group originating from Japan.
